Pregnancy Journal- page 53/13/1999 - Today we are 9 wks pregnant! WOW! Reality has finally set in and I feel as though I am counting the minutes until we are out of the first trimester. I'm confused as to whether we go by 12 wks or 14 wks. I'm leaning toward the 12 wks just glimpse and U/S picture of the babies themselves. (Went off the Crinone progesterone this week too) We got to measure them instead of the sacs. Baby A is completely being a uterus hog...leaving very little room for Baby B. The doctor assured that that was alright at this point. Both the heartbeats were strong too! :0)
Life surely does change with babies on the way...I gave up the smoking and coffee before our IVF cycle...but that seems to be just the beginning. It's like the body forces you to eat healthier. I want protein (in any form) and have suddenly started to enjoy strawberries, cantalope, etc. I've cut chocolate and most sweets out my diet altogether. It hasn't even been that bad...it feels surprisingly good to eat healthy. So far, I've lost 5 lbs but feel I am on my way to gaining them back. Although the morning sickness is till wood*. I'm just so excited! We're both so excited!
DH has been wonderful. I think he's experiencing some morning sickness too. He had to take off 3 days from work this week! I'm so lucky to have him! He loves me so much...and our babies already. I mean...he gets up in the middle of the night to fix me peanut butter crackers. Could life get any better than this?
