Note: Of this family, says Sir William Dugdale, which afterwards arrived to great honour, I have not seen anything memorable until the 53rd Henry III, 1269, when Robert, a younger son of Baron John of Peyton Hall, Suffolk, was appointed Justiciar of Ireland. This Robert was Justice of Ireland in the reign of Henry III and again in the reign of Edward I.
