Calendar Changes Due to Snow

Big Spring School District calendar has 5 additional days built into the 2001-2002 school year to accommodate unexpected snow days. If school is closed 6 (SIX) days or more, days will be added at the end of the school year. If fewer than 5 days are used for inclement weather, days MAY BE subtracted FROM the projected end of the school year. As of the date printed above, ZERO snow days have been used. The last day of school for this current school year has been established as Friday, June 7. The last day CAN BE ADJUSTED by the Board of School Directors if fewer than 5 days are used. Please check this page in the future for updated information.

When Big Spring has a 2(two) hour delay, a modified Kindergarten schedule will be in effect. The times below will be followed for AM and PM Kindergarten:

11:15 - AM Kindergarten exit buses at the school along with grades 1-5 students

1:15 - AM Kindergarten session over, students leave school

PM Kindergarten students will be picked up about 45 minutes later than normal

1:55 - PM Kindergarten exits buses at school and begins PM session

3:50 - PM Kindergarten dismisses (along with grades 1-5 students)
