Funders:
Funders came from a puppy mill in Oklahoma. I found him while working an extra job at the Galleria Mall. He had been sold to a Mexican family who failed to come pick him up from the "Pet Store". After watching him waste away for two months, I cajoled the store owner into letting me take him. Funders was always a bit meek, most likely because of his early experiences, but was an excellent companion to the kids and would toughen up plenty if anything ever threatened them. He is probably the most morose, yet lovable dog we ever had. Unfortunately, Funders had contracted heartworm before I got him, and the treatment probably shortened his life. He weighed around 115 lbs. and lived for 8 1/2 years.
