Parakeets

Parakeet
<=== This is a parakeet. There are differences between parakeets and budgies. First, the budgie is a bit smaller. The parakeet has a larger bill, that is stronger than a budgie's bill. The budgie has a raised area around the noseholes that is blue for the male and brown for the females. The parakeet does not have this raised area around its bill. Budgies also have a distinctive pattern. Over the top of their heads and down their back there are blace stripes, that the parakeets do not have. It is also known that as budgies grows older the stripes on the bird's head will recede towards the back of their head.
