I am working on the TURNER line, in Fayette Co after 1840. My knowledge ends with the family of Thomas TURNER, whose son Kenyon (Kenion) was my father's ggrandfather. Kenyon named his youngest son James Boswell, who named one of his sons James Boswell,Jr. I believe that there is a connection to the Boswell TURNER who lived in Greene Co in the early 1800's, but I get lost in the maze of Thomas TURNERs. The family lived in Hancock Co, and I think Kenyon's father moved back there after the War, perhaps Boswell Turner was Thomas' uncle. There are 4 Thomas Turners living in 2 households in Fayette Co (gfather, father, uncle, brother(?) to Kenyon, who named his son Thomas!) any help is appreciated!

I'm seeking information on the MORRIS Family in Greene County, Georgia, from the period of 1850 back to original settlement. My last ancestor born there was William Thomas Morris, born 25 May 1856, to Mary Jane Andrews and Andrew Jackson "Jack" Morris. Mary Andrews Morris was the daughter of Susan Jones and Matthew Andrews. Not much else on the Morris family, though they appear to have spent some time in Jones County, Georgia. Thanks for any assistance you may provide me.

John WILSON and wife Elizabeth Moore Wilson came to Greene Co. before 1800. Their children have been listed as Sally, who married Thomas Glass, Jesse M., John, and two who died very young. I have also seen where there might have been other children, but cannot confirm as of yet. He died 1835, she died 1840. His will leaves all to his beloved wife and children, unnamed! He chose as his executors close friends Oliver Porter and James Daniel. John Wilson was a member of the Va. continental line in Rev. war and was said to be from Prince Edward Co. Va., although one source I saw listed him as from Buckingham Co. Va. I am trying to connect him with my known ancestor William Wilson who settled in Morgan Co.

BRYAN(T), WHITFIELD, SMITH: Robert Bryan(t) (b. ca 1740 SC, Dec 1799 GA) appeared on the Greene Co. Tax Lists 1788, 1789 and 1793. His will was probated Jan 1800 in the part of Greene Co. that was broken off into Hancock Co. His wife was Sarah (surname unkn); children: John, Robert, Elizabeth, William (mine, b 1792 Greene Co., d. ca 1853 Tippah Co. MS), plus three younger children. After Robert's death in Dec 1799, Sarah married the widower, Benjamin Whitfield and had three more children, Martha, Matilda and Aschsa. Another family that appears to intertwinged with the Bryans and Whitfields is Thomas Keeling Smith and wife, Eleanor. My William's wife, Celia Ann, may be their youngest daughter and two of the Whitfield children married Smith children. Interested in sharing clues, information, research and finding cousins.
