Kelly

1973 - 1986

Kelly, pictured here as a puppy, was adopted from an old farm where she was living in a barn with her brothers and sisters. She was a great dog. Very shy but never mean. She was a wonderful friend. She died many years ago and I still miss her very much.

She immediately became my Dad's best friend. I moved away from home about a year later and left her with Dad. She lived to be 13 and was released from her cancer pain in the loving arms of my father at home. Dad could never bring himself to adopt another since she was so perfect. He has since died of cancer too and I can picture the two of them walking in the meadows now with no more pain.
