Misty

Misty was my companion and probably was one of the few reasons I stayed somewhat sane during my father's terminal illness. She was a cocker spaniel - black with white chest. She was 13 years old when she developed a liver problem that couldn't be cured - the only answer was to put her down - about 6 months earlier I lost a dear friend to cancer - when I left Misty at the vet that day I knew in my heart that it was the last time - I gave her a hug and told her she would be seeing Leslie and to give him a hug and kiss for me - she was deaf but she turned and gave me a kiss on the cheek like she heard me and was telling me that she would. The vet called me at work to say that they had her in surgery and the results were not good. I made the decision to end it there and not put her through anymore. She was a wonderful little dog and now 5 years later the sight of a black cocker still brings tears to my eyes.

Memorial lovingly submitted by Misty's best friend, Diane Maurer
