NORTHERN DISTRICT CIRCUIT COURT RECORDS

John SNELLGROVE, Plaintiff

v.

Thos. NORRIS, Defendant

The Plaintiff complained that the Defendant had cut down his garden fence. The Defendant being called into Court alleges that he had built an House in the Grates Cove previous to the Plaintiffs settling there, and had began clearing a path lead to the waters side before his the Plaintiffs fence was put up – which was confirmed by the evidence of Henry MARTIN and John BLUNDEN residents at the Grates Cove.

Decreed, that a Path not up than six feet wide by left leading from the waters side to the said Norris’s Dwelling House – and the fence to be repaired at the joint expense of the said Snellgrove and Norris.

Given under my hand at Trinity this 5th day of May, 1795.

Signed John CLINCH.
