Miss Marjorie Stearns is wed to F.W. Loeser
The marriage of Miss Marjorie Stearns, daughter of Mrs. William Taylor Stearns of 257 Gates Avenue, to Frederick William Loeser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick L. Loeser of 105 McKinley Avenue, New Haven CT, took place at 4:30 yesterday afternoon in Grace Church Chantry, Manhattan. The Reverand Doctor Russell Bowie officiated. A reception followed at the Fifth Avenue Hotel, Manhattan.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her cousin, Fred Winslow of West Hartford CT, wore a gown of ivory velvet made on princess lines. She had a tulle veil falling from a coronet of orange blossoms. Miss Janet Eastman was maid of honor. She wore a gown of fuschia velvet and coronet of velvet over a matching veil. Her flowers were talisman roses and golden snapdragons.
Mrs. Arthur H. Spear and Mrs. Ernest Stretton of Brooklyn acted as bridesmaids. They wore sapphire blue velvet, matching veils helf in place with a flower and carried various colored African daisies and blue delphinium.
Walter Swoope of Phillipsburg, PA was the best man and Gaylord Donnelly of Chicago and David Gregg II were ushers. After spending a month in Florida, the couple will make their home in New Haven.
