Here's the lowdown on my family. My parents met when my mom was 15 and my dad was 18. They didn't date right away, but they were still married young (Mom was just about to turn 21 and Dad had just had his 24th birthday). I came nine months later. I had one foster sibling when I was 2. Then my sister Sarah was born (June 30th, 1981) so my parents got out of foster care. Instead, my dad was a "Big Brother" for several years. Then my mom had identical twins, Brett and Michael on February 24th, 1984. Michael was stillborn. I was about 5 1/2 at the time. My parents decided to go back to foster care. (We took in 25 kids over a ten year period, 1984 to 1994.) My brother Christopher was born on September 19th, 1986. My youngest siblings, born January 12th, 1989, are adopted. They are twins named JD and Marie. The twins came to live with us when they were 18 days old. They had to stay in the hospital a while because they were 6 weeks premature. Anyway, fast forward a few years to the present. My parents got divorced in June 1997, after a three year separation. My dad, Dave, was remarried to a lovely lady named Roxanne in February 1998. My mom, Margaret, married a man named Cliff on August 31st, 2000. (Cliff has two children from a previous marriage - David who will be 19 in May 2001 & Lori who will be 12 in August 2001.) My siblings live with my mother. Dad and Roxanne live in my father's childhood home, about 20 minutes away from my mom and siblings. (Not for long though - Mom & the kids are moving to NY state soon!) Both my mom's parents are alive. Their names are William "Bill" and Angela "Angie" and they live in PA. My mom has 5 siblings so I have quite a few aunts, uncles and cousins on that side. My dad has two siblings and between them I have 8 cousins. We also have some "extended family" - friends who have been integral parts of our lives for more than 15 years. We have had our share of ups and downs, but Corbin and I love our family a lot. We wouldn't change it a bit!
