Where would I be without my friends? Well, I certainly wouldn't be where I am now. I wouldn't have found Sam, and I might never have found #cuddles and alt.cuddle, where I have made so many more friends via the Internet.
I owe a lot to my friends, and I think they deserve some recognition, so here is a little bit about them, and links to web pages of those who have them...
Connie Webster |

Connie was the first friend I made in Missouri, several months before my mom and I moved here. We met through the Mercedes Lackey newsletter, called "Queen's Own," which I received a sample of in August of 1994. I knew I would be moving to Missouri at the end of the year, and Connie's name was in both the penpals section and another section. She lived in the same city as my uncle in Missouri, who I knew I would probably be visiting at times, and so I wrote to her. We were penpals at first, and I don't think we met until I had been living here for several months. We were good friends as penpals, but even better friends in person, and we have spent a lot of time together in the intervening years. It was thanks to Connie, who had local net access before I did, that I was able to meet up with a former e-mail friend, Emma Sapp, on IRC. And she, in turn, introduced me to Sam Baughman. |
Sam Baughman |

Sam has his own pages here in my web, but since he was a friend first, he deserves mention here as well. It is because of Sam that I stumbled into CuddleLand, where I made many more friends online. You can read more about how that happened on my Cuddle Page. Even though Sam is the reason I found CuddleLand, I did not know until several weeks after I found it that he had been a resident as well. |
Bratlynn |

Bratlynn is another great friend whom I met online. We have a lot in common, and not just our heart problems. We have had such similar lives, that when we actually sat down and compared them, it was eerie! We could have been sisters, if I weren't an old lady already! *lol* What else can I say? Well, she's a graphics wizardess, and I'm really really happy for her, that she found her Jess! I love ya, little sis of the heart, and I hope you and Jess are really happy together! Sorry I'm such a lazy bum about updating my pages!! |
My CuddleLand Friends |

I have made so many friends in CuddleLand, that I think it would be best if they had their own page... and maybe even separate pages for IRC and the newsgroup... I have yet to make these pages though, so stay tuned!! For now, you can visit some of the residents of CuddleLand via the CuddleLand Web Ring, by using the link at the bottom of my Cuddle Page. |
The Brassard Family |
![]() |
I've known the Brassard family since my Junior year in High School... Delina and I met then, and started spending time together during our Senior year, when we sat next to each other in our AP English class. After graduation in the spring of 1989, we started going places and doing things together, and I have more or less been adopted into their family, along with another friend, Deanna Hancock. After I moved from California, Delina went off to Connecticut (I think it was) to live with one of her Aunts for a while, and she eventually wound up in Saint Paul, Minnesota, going to UMN with her sister Michelle and adopted sis, Deanna. Two more of my friends, Brian Jacobsen and Paul Vanvoorhis, live in the Twin Cities as well. I have gone up to visit them all twice now, and they have come down to see me a few times. It's been almost two years now since I was up there for a visit (yikes!), so I think I'm about due. Delina is the one who more or less introduced me to Fantasy fiction when we were Seniors. Before that, I read mostly Star Trek novels, but she got me to reading some of the DragonLance books, and the Belgariad series by David Eddings, and the Pern Books by Anne McCaffrey. |
