On July 29th 1989 my hubby (boyfriend at the time!) left alone on his motorcycle to travel across Canada to the Yukon. The night before he left I gave him this poem to carry with him and read every night! HE on the otherhand gave me an engagement ring and asked me to marry him before he left!! I said YES!!! LOL!!And so on July 28th,1990, a year to the day he proposed we were married!

Across the open roads you'll travel
Through country sides and city streets
The wind will gently caress your face
as you soar through it freely
Alone, at peace.

Through mountains and valleys abound
In the silence you will hear a sound...
A whisper in the breeze
And if you listen carefully,
And listen with your heart...
You'll hear the words "I love you"
At any given time
And at that very moment,

Wherever you may be..

My heart will be there too
Safe and sound with you!
