United States Marine Corps Retired.
After serving two years as "D.I.", he was sent to Viet Namn in 1968. He served 13 months in Viet Namn with the FLC in DaNang at Red Beach. After returning from Viet Namn, he was station at Quantico, Virginia. He retired at Quantico in June of 1973 as Gy/Sgt. E7. The following is his Griffith ancestral line.
Westly Griffith was born in 1829 in Ohio. He married Sarah Jane Wilsey on 7 August 1856 in Pike County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Henry Wilsey and Catherine Vosburg. She was born in 1838 in Knox County, New York. Westly Griffith died in 1864 in Sullivan County, Missouri. The only known child of Westly and Sara Griffith is Seth Marion Griffeth.

Seth Marion Griffeth was born on 19 October 1861 in Illinois. He married Mary Walker on 5 December 1888. Mary Walker was the daughter of Franklin Walker and Mary Hoover. She was born on 31 August 1858 in Sullivan County, Missouri and died on 9 December 1940 in Clay Township, Linn County, Missouri. Seth Marion Griffeth died on 23 September 1940 in Clay Township, Linn County, Missouri. Both are buried in Magnolia Cemetery. Seth and Mary had three sons.
1.William Galet Griffeth was born on 8 October 1889 in Purdin, Missouri. He married Clara Elma Moore on 7 June 1909 in Linn County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Creed Thomas Moore and Martha Mahala Painter. He died on 9 January 1939 in Brookfield, Missouri. Both are buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Linneus, Linn County, Missouri.
2. Isaac Trussell Griffith, born on 27 January 1893 in Sullivan County, Missouri. He died on 16 March 1967 in Rock Springs, Sweetwater County, Wyoming. He is buried in Rest Haven, Sweetwater County, Wyoming. He married Mary McGuffin on 8 April 1914 in Purdin, Linn County, Missouri.
3. Arthur Thomas Griffith, born on 8 May 1895 in Sullivan County, Missouri. He died on 15 June 1979 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois. He was buried in Linn County, Missouri.
William Galet Griffeth and Clara Elma Moore had 13 children. Only 8 survived to adulthood.

The only child of Alice Loraine Griffeth.
Artie Ray Griffith was born on 16 November 1936 in Brookfield, Missouri. At the age of 17 he joined the United States Marine Corps, serving his country for 20 years. He served several overseas tours and served in the Korean and Viet-Nam wars. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1973 at Quantico, Virginia.
Artie Ray Griffith married Brenda Joyce Cauthen on 31 May 1962 in Big Sandy, Benton County, Tennessee. Brenda was born 12 September 1944 in Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky, the oldest child of Robert Henry Cauthen and Frances Irene Cooley Cauthen.
Artie Griffith and Brenda Cauthen Griffith have two sons.

2. Timothy Allan Griffith, born 11 June 1967 in Beaufort, South Carolina. He married Dawn Beau Bryant on 16 August 1986 in Benton County, Tennessee. They have two children. Dawn is the daughter of Norman and Pat Bryant.
