Zachariah and Sarah Melton had two sons and five daughters. They were John, born 1742, Josiah, Mary, Priscilla, Elizabeth, Pharaby and Bathsheba. His son John is from whom I descend. Many of John's children eventually settled in Benton Co., TN, on the west side to the Tennessee River. Zachariah died some time in 1792. His will was written October 23, 1786 and proven in open court in Nach Co., NC in 1792.

In the following pages, I will attempt to post my direct line from Zachariah Melton to present day and tell you about the rich history or the Harmons Creek area where I grew up and have so many wonderful memories of.
