Comments: My husbands family owned Arbers Mill on Ten Mile Bank. His G G G grandfather, Benjamin Arber 1809 - 1870, bought it in the 1850's. I have a copy of the news report about its demolition in 1952, but does anyone have any old photos or other information ab ut the mill. Thankyou.

Comments: What a wonderful website. My HOUGHTON LINE can be traced back to 1756 Wardy Hill, Cambridgeshire England. My great,great,ggg grandfather was Issac Houghton married to Sarah Cropley in 1756, their son (my gggg grandfather) Benjamin married to Elizabeth illson in 1779- Benjamin later died in Coveney in 1823, their son Benjamin(e) married Mary Poole in 1811 lived in Wardy Hill- their youngest son my great, great grandfather CHARLES HOUGHTON was married to Clara in 1880- he was 51 she was only 32, they had the following children -Charles Henry -everyone called him Harry; Joe; Frank;Ernie; Florence "FLossie" and my great grandfather William Houghton who married a Mary Ann Poole who came from Wisbech d/o George Poole and Hannah nee Grigg. They had a son in Ely in 1912 by the name of Charles Henry Houghton- he was my grandfather. This family later immigrated to Canada in 1913.
