SHIP MODELS AT EPPIE'S PLACE

Listen to a recording Gene made while you browse his page.
It takes a few seconds to load, but it's worth the wait.

One of Gene's hobbies is building ship models.
He occasionally builds from kits, but most of the time,
he uses blueprints and builds from scratch. He made the "rope car" so he
could make own rope. Be careful when you browse
lest you find yourself in it's path.

The Rattlesnake is a Privateer from the war of 1812.
It was built from scratch and the "ropes" are homemade.

THE RATTLESNAKE

A Canadian Blue Nose.

The Skipjack is used for harvesting oysters
and at one time was the mostly widely used boat on the Chesapeake Bay.
Sadly, there are only a few remaining Skipjacks in existence.
Gene displayed and sold this model on his site at E-Bay.
