Since the guestbook is starting to get a little big, I decided to put all the older entries on this page (entries dating from the inception back in early July of 1997, to November 1st 1997)....Enjoy....

I THINK THAT YOUR PAGE IS GREAT. DO YOU EVER THINK OF GETTING MORE FROGS? I HAVE THREE WHITE'S TREE FROGS. THEY ARE ROMEO, JULIET, AND BENVOLIO.!
*** Thank you. I would LOVE to get more frogs. Personally
I think they make great pets. Unfortunatly my housing situation
is a bit too small to add more tanks.... and the last thing I want
to do is over crowd my beloved little froggy friends.

I have a Whiet's tree frog too! His name is Bub, and I love him to pieces. Everyone makes fun of me here at school, because I make a big fuss over him all the time. Oh well! Bub doesn't seem to mind at all. Your web page is really helpful. It answer
d a lot of questions that I had and some things I was just unsure about. Thanks.
*** "Froggy Ridicule", it seems to happen to all frog owners.
I know the feeling (and so do a lot of people who sent me e-mail).
When I got my little froggy's, I seemed to be "harrassed" by
family, friends, and co-workers. But, as time went on, they all seemed to
like the fact that I have two happy little froggys and always want to
know how they are doing. My Mother now calls my froggys my "Kids." :)

Very cool pictures of your froggies! I just bought a White's Tree Frog for my birthday, and her name is Maggie. She's very cute and loves to play. My problem is that I am buying cannibalistic crickets! I am amazed at how fast she is growing.
*** CONGRADULATIONS on you new White's, Maggie. ..and also
Wow!! "Cannibalistic Crickets"? I have
never heard of that before. I am not really sure about cricket eating habits,
but I have great luck with using "cricket foods" (such as "Gut-Load", and "Pretty Pets cricket food").
The crickets I get never seem to be cannabalistic, but then again, they always
have a food source. ...and actually, this brings up a topic that I don't think
that I have addressed yet on this web site:
Keeping crickets.
A lot of web sites and books recommend putting a slice of potatoe
or fruit in with your crickets for nurishment. I have one major problem with this.
The smell!!! What I have found to work the best, is having a medium sized "pet carrier"
(with an extra screen on top to keep the crickets from escaping); a very shallow water dish;
and a food dish ("Gut-Load" seems to produce the least amount of odor); and a few
paper towel tubes, or toilet paper tubes, or even wrapping paper tubes.
This set-up seems to work great. It allows you to buy
a bunch of crickets (I usually get about 50 to 100 at a time), and feed them to your
frog when it is convienient. Also, "Gut-load" and "Pretty Pet" are a good sourse of
vitamins and minerals for your frog.

Hi Kenneth, Kermit, and Peabody! Just returning the favor and hopping by your page. I have an idea for a contest (though I don't know how big it will be). I need some factual info. on frogs for my page. Maybe have a contest on who can write the best fa
tual info about frogs? I don't know..but I don't have time to do it myself. Anyway, greta page, I'll be giving you a link very soon! Amy
*** Okay, I just picked up some new books today to offer as a "prize"
for a new contest. But after thinking about it, this would be a very hard
contest to choose a winner (espicailly considering the possibilities of
Plagorizing Laws).
I will contact you via e-mail to see if mayby we can refine this contest
idea.Kenneth James Haase

Wow!! Great site! I love the pictures of Kermit & Peabody! My family has two White's Tree Frogs, Howie & Gollum. I received Howie as a Mother's Day gift & then bought Gollum soon after. I love 'em :0) Thanks so much for providing all the useful info
mation!!
*** I am always happy to hear from "hoppy" White's owners. I hope
that this web site gave you some helpfull information on White's.
Unfortunatly, between long hours at work, and a major system destruction,
updates to this sight have been few and far appart lately. Hopefully
I will be able to add alot more information in the near future.

I know what name I want du du du du SAMPSON it's a cool name Kenneth I don't want the book.
*** I hope your frog likes the name!!! :) Incase some of you are
wondering, when Rafe stated "I don't want the book", he was making referance
to an e-mail I corespondence we had. Okay, I am not a genious at creating contests
(or at spelling as you can see), so when Rafe informed me that he liked the
name that I submitted, I felt that it would be best to offer him the "prize."
So, that leads me to the next topic.... Since Rafe doesn't want the "prize",
if anyone has an un-named White's, just let me know and I'll start another contest.... :)

is that your frogs is in a very new environment. Let him become established in his
new environmet (Yes, frogs do get stressed). Also, keep an eye on
the climate (temperature and humidity). White's like a realitive
high humidity with a temperature ranginging from around 68 to 82 degrees

*** Thank you. I just upgraded my account with GeoCities, so I now have more memory; so
hopefully I will have more pictures of Kermit and Peabody add
soon. What I also plan on adding, (if I am able), is a few .MOV or .AVI
video clips (okay, so I am proud of my little froggies). Also,
I will be adding an area of "Viewer's White's." If anyone has a
picture of their White's that they want to be posted on this sight,
please e-mail them to White's Pictures.

*** Hopefully, there will be more feedback soon to help name your froggy!
Lazareth, I guess shoud be a typo. My brother is a HUGE fan of the science
fiction writer Robert E. Heinlien. He, and his wife Stefanie, are in search
of a Norwegian Elkhound puppy; that they want to name "Lazarous.";from a
Heinlien novel. Once again, I probably speleed it wrong! :(
Lisa's entry is from the name of her CAT (booooo, get a frog, just kidding Lisa)

Help! My White's tree frog won't eat, we've been
force-feeding him for about a week now. He doesn't
show any other symptoms of illness except his lack
of interest in crickets. Nobody else seems to know
what to do, please help!
*** Please read the e-mail I sent. I hope it may have "the cure"
In gereral, here are the some pointers (things to check):
Temperature: if too low, your White's may thing it is time to "hybernate"
A different food:Try a different food (such as mealworms)
Sulfa Baths:A way to possibly help cure a bacterial or fungal infection
that may cause a "lack of appitite."

Nice page Kermie and Peabody (what the heck kind of a name is Peabody anyway?).
*** The name Peabody came from the Bullwinkle cartoon
"Sherman and Mr. Peabody." For some reason, I thought that that
would make a good name for a pet. When I go her from "Pet$m@rt", she was
bright pea-green in color, and she was undernurished; so I thought the name fit.

Do you know where pet stores recieve their frogs/?
*** I recall reading that petstore's recieve their frogs from
breaders (rather than wild caught frogs). The breeders seem to
provided a healthier frog, as well as being able to give the
store the specifics on what type of frog that is being sold.

Nice pictures, but if you have any info. on herps or live plants that are safe in there house please send me.
*** Live plants in a tank set up is a great idea, but there are
a few precations. First, you have to know your pet. Using a type of plant
that is normal to the pet's natural environment seems like it would be
the best option. If you pet is a White's tree frog, John Coborn writes
"Sturdy house plants such as Montera, Philodendron, Ficus, Sanservieria
and so on should be used with your White's tree frogs."
Also, plants may need fertalization (plant food). Living plants should be removed
from the tank to "add plant food." ...and given a week outside your pet's
tank after it is given.
