When The Going Gets Tough.. Hits No. 1 In UK
Boyzone's new single, When The Going Gets Tough (The Tough Gets Going), which they recorded for Comic Relief has hit the No. 1 spot in the UK!
The video for the single is certainly one of a kind. Let me just say that if you're in a rotten mood, this video will cheer you up in NO time! It's fantastic! It totally makes you want to get up and dance like a raving lunatic!
You'll spot some stars in the video, one of them being the infamous Davina McCall (the one who unconsciously humiliated Ronan), formally of MTV Europe who now sports her own show in the UK (they're just giving them out these days, aren't they?). The single is now available in Europe and Asia on 1 CD and Cassette.
Hmm..what is Comic Relief, exactly?
Well, Comic Relief is a charity whose aim is to "help disavantaged people in the UK and Africa realise their aspirations and potential". For additional info, go to its website at http://www.comicrelief.org.uk.

Well, i've seen some parts of the new video of Boyzone:When the Going..., and i have to admit it's a bit different from every video they've done, it's kind of catchy tune but umm we'll i got to hear everything and see the whole video before i'll decide....
Boyzone, along with some other bands, have gathered around to sign a petition that aims to ban pirated music from the Internet. Apparantly, due to new technology such as writeable CD ROMs and MP3 Players, more and more people are choosing to download their favorite songs off the net rather than get them the old-fashioned way - by buying them. BZ want this stopped. (Note that if this petition works, this means the end of sound samples!!)
March is going to be a very busy month for Boyzone. You got your new album release and a new baby Keating - happens all the time, right? Well, Ronan and Stephen have also been preoccupied with some solo projects lately. Do read on.. Ronan has recently recorded the title track to the new film Notting Hill, which is a sequel to Four Weddings and a Funeral. The song is called When You Say Nothing At All. Stephen has declared that he has been experimenting with solo projects himself..so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a Steo-Only Song sometime this spring.. (More news on this once I get it.) But please do not jump to conclusions. BZ are still very much together..so don't go getting horrible band break-up scenarios in your mind..we've all been down this road before. :)
Boyzone are releasing a new single "When the Going Gets Tough the Though gets going" in conjunction with Comic Relief on 1st March 99. The single will be available on 1 CD and Cassette.
You can see the first, exclusive of their new video on Live and Kicking, 13th February 99.
The debut performance of "When the going gets tough" will be at the Brits which you can see on TV 17th February 99 and again on the National Lottery 20th February 99.
