You've won a role as an "ickle bunny's voice in Watership Down. Do you eat a lot of carrots?

"nly raw carrots, like a real rabbit. I love them. Whem my mum used to be cooking a real Irish stew and she'd be chopping up the carrots, i'd take them and eat them, but I couldn't eat them cooked, i don't like them".

Have you ever felt caged in?

"(Laughes)Lots of times, yeah. Especially in this business, because you're really aware that everyone's looking at you and you feel like a goldfish in a bawl. You don't know what to do or where to go and you try to give yourself some spcae."

Do you know anyone called Waaren?

(Looks confused)"Warren? Only arren Beatty. What a weird question - Why are you asking me that? (Smash Hits explains the hilarious connection with rabbit warrens). I've never heard rabbit holes being called that before. I've heard them called dens or burrows, though. You learn something new every day, don't you?"

Can you twitch your ears?

"Nope! But my character in Watership Down will probably be able to. It's so exxciting - They've even made the character look like me (Points to his front teeth). Well, it wouldn't be that hard, would it? Hahaha!"

You're mates with loads of pop girlies. How di dyou get to know Emma Spice?

"I meet Emma years ago when the Spice Girls started out and Wannabe had just been released. We said hello and got on well and ended up keeping in touch. We're not majorly, majorly close friends, but sometimes we'll meet up and go out somewhere. Am i going to do a duet with Emma? No. I was going to, but someone's stolen it! I can't tell you, through... But you'd be surprised!"

How about Geri...

"The last time i saw Geri was at the Capital Awards, bless her. She's a really nice girl - really, raelly cool. She's very normal and takes peoople exactly as they are and she's very honest. he's a very nice person to be around".

And Shaznay Saint?

"I haven't spoken to Shaznay for a while, but she's a lovely girl. She's been really busy touring and writing recently but hopefully we'll see each other again soon".

And B*Witched?

I haven't seen them in a while either because they've been away in the States, but they're very nice girls and always very cheery".

Which pop laydee would you like to be friends with?

"Madonna. I've met her three times but she never remembers us. She always says hello as if she's meeting us for the first time. I'm always like, 'Hi Madge, it's me, Stephen!' Hahaha".

What's with the beard?

(Smiles) What's wrong with my beard? I just got lazy shaving and let it grow. Everyone thinks i'm all nice but that was my mean 'n' moody look! Am i going to grow it again? It depends if i can be bothered to shave. My beard grows very fast, y'know!"

And finally, the question on everyone's lips: Are Boyzone spliting up?

"No. We're talking some time out to do bits and pieces of our own and we've got the new tour coming up in December. Ronan's releasing his solo single, I've got Brian Eyes out and hopefully there will be a new Boyzone single out before the end of the year."
