Boyzone Stay Together
Solo Projects but no split on the cards, say Boyzone.
Boyzone are going solo - But they're not splitting up. Each of them is taking time off for special projects before starting work on the fourth Boyzone album early next year. The guys called an official press conference in Dublin to announce that the rumours about them spliting are not, repeat not, true.
Keith said: "Everybody has a perspective that boy bands should have life span of five or six years. Every month, there's a new story about us breaking up. But we're still together. If people want to listen to us in two to four years time, we will still be here".
In the meantime, all the boys will be working on their own probjects. Ronan releases his first solo single, "When You Say Nothing At All", on July 19. Keith plans to follow up his storming performance on The Pepsi Chart Show with some more TV presenting. Mikey is working on a solo album, while Shane's going to continue driving rally cars for Ford. And Stephen? "I am recording a single for Watership Down, but i'm also the voice for one of the rabbits. They're going to make it look like me, so that'll be interesting".
Ronan also revealed that ladds' latest attempt to conquer Ameria. They're going to appear in cheesy soap General Hospital (Which Ricky Martin also used to act in). "What we're actually going to do int he show is unclear", he fessed. After the press conference, the band performed at the RDS stadium in Dublin in front of a whopping 25,000 people. Guests included Smash Hits, Westlife (Who supported the 'Zoners) and Emma Bunton, who stayed at Ronan and Yvonne's house n Country Kildare. She was last seen partying with the band until five in the morning!
