NOTES BY TRANSCRIBER: This obituary was transcribed Apr. 19, 1992
by Gloria ODOM, a descendant. Brackets [ ] were inserted by transcriber. The 1891 info.
was taken from Sarah's
husband Buenos Ayres' obituary #1.
In my early days of researching the OSBORN lineage I was unable
to locate a death certificate for Sarah. About 1987, my sister,
while visiting our maternal uncle in CA, was able to convince
him to copy many of the old genealogical type records in his
possession. It was from these records, some newspaper obituaries,
that I discovered that Sarah (OSBORN) AYRES died in Knoxville,
Marion Co., IA but was buried in Geneseo, Henry Co., IL.
In 1997, I still have not located a death certificate for Sarah;
perhaps one does not exist.
