James Burton Bentley was married to Melvina "Mellie" Rowe (daughter of James Midget Rowe and Elizabeth Breeding) on 25 Oct 1888 in Pike County, Kentucky. Melvina "Mellie" Rowe was born 16 Mar 1862 and died 26 Jan 1944 at Rockhouse, Ky. James Burton Bentley and Melvina "Mellie" Rowe had the following children:
