Pike County Kentucky State to wit this shall License and permit you to Join in marriage according to the Rights and Ceremonies of the Church to which you belong called by Richard Potter and Mary Ramey of this county and this shall be your suficient warrent for the same given under my hand this 17th day of January 1825. Spencer Adkins I Spencer Adkins Clerk of the Court for the County Court aforesaid do hereby certify that the above Richard Potter and Mary Ramey have given the necefsary Proof and certificate from under the hand of the said parties as such satisfaction is made before me as such keeping Security has been given in my office according to law given under my Spencer Adkins CPCC To any ----- legally Authorized to solemnize matrimony. Know all men by these present that we Richard Potter and William Ramey are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the minal sum of fifty pounds for the true payment well and truly to be made whereof we bind ourselves our heirs firmly by these present sealed with our seals and dated this 17th day of January 1825. The conditions of the above obligation is such that where as there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Richard Potter and Mary Ramey of this county if ---- ---- shall be no lawful course to obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be void. Else to remain in full force and ------. Executed in the presence of Richard Potter (seal) Spencer Adkins CPCC William Ramey (seal) Pike County to wit I William Campbell one of the Commonwealth justices of the Peace in and for sid County do hereby certify that on the 20th day of January 1825 I joind in marriage Richard Potter and Mary Ramey given under my hand the day and date mentioned.
