Material found in banners above not endorsed by author of this site!   Coach King I went to high school for 3 years at Deer Park High School in Deer Park, TX (near Houston). My 9th & 10th grade years were un-spectacular and I skipped school a lot. But then in 11th grade came World History with Coach King ("Coach" is what he was called, because he was one). It's amazing how well a coach can teach. But it wasn't the history part that inspired me. Every day he talked about setting goals and striving for them. I remember him always telling us not to get "fat & sassy," which means just geting lazy and resting on our laurels. I really felt like he believed in me. I went from getting B's & C's to getting straight A's that year, and from then on. And I later graduated with honors from college.
