Terry's 3M'sMeditations, Mutterings, Madness
When I was young and single and the pc was non-existant, I used to read in great quantity. I can't remember all the names of the books or all the authors I've read through the years. I have on occasion tried to do just that and I have a database with all the books that I can remember reading in it. But, it is only a fraction of the books I've actually read. My niece took a book out of the library and when I saw the title, I knew that I had once read the book--close to 40 years ago! So, I gathered my son on my lap and with the other children around, I read aloud the first 3 chapters of Mr. Popper's Penquins by Richard and Florence Atwater, written in 1938. It was a nice, cozy evening which ended with my son saying his prayers while sitting on my lap. I finished M.C.Beaton's Death of a Perfect Housewife and am continuing in several other books that I have started. I have said before that my tastes are eclectic. These are the books that I either have already started, or that are library books that I intend to read over the next few weeks:
Yarbro, Chelsea Quinn--A Flame in Byzantium I have already started seven of the above books. How do I keep them straight? I don't know, I just do. Well, if you'll excuse me, I have some reading to do. ![]() |
