This rearranging of my bedroom is turning into a HUGE project.

I couldn't move the bookcases with the books on them, so I ended up putting the books from one bookcase on my bed and the books from the other bookcase are resting in 4 laundry baskets.

There are so many books that I own but haven't read, that I'm going to make it a project to read at least 1 or 2 each week next year. Maybe even more than that.

There are also many books that I have read and am going to keep. For those, I think I will find a few boxes and put them on the closet shelves for now. Then I'll see how many of the books I can read and give away before bringing out the favorites to put on the shelves.

How many books are there? The last time they were counted was when Stephanie had a project for school last year--counting all the books that were in the house. The count at that time was over 500. I have acquired more books since then and I have given away books since that time. I have also packed 3 boxes of books that I don't intend to read in the near future and have put them in the bathroom closet. (Books such as Peter the Great, The Last Convertible, my copy of The Stand that was autographed by actors in the mini-series who were here in Las Vegas (I had a friend who worked as an extra and she had borrowed the book and got the autographs for me as a surprise). It's time for a recount. Besides, I love to cross items off of lists--so, I'll make a list of the books I plan to read next year while I'm counting the books.

Well, I gotta go. I have a project to work on!
