Terry's 3M's
Wow! I have been off the computer for a long time now.
First, it was Christmas vacation with the kids all home, then Johnny had a mild case of the chicken pox. That meant that he wanted to be entertained constantly. He spent most of his time in my bedroom with me or else following me around all day.
I have spent so little time online, that I haven't even seen if anyone has signed my guestbook in the last couple of weeks. All I've done is check my email every couple of days.
What have I been doing? Mundane things. Laundry. Reading. And playing a lot on the Super Nintendo. I finished The Secret of Evermore game.
I've also noted that even though John doesn't talk to his dad everyday and only has infrequent visits with him, he has picked up one of the phrases that Gary uses that grates on me. Now, every time I say something that Johnny disagrees with he says, "Aren't you being silly?!" It is said with an inflection that just annoys the heck out of me.
Even though the friend that I met on IRC changed her mind about staying here for a couple of days (because John had chicken pox at the time--no one can blame her for that!), we did have a nice visit anyway.
Now, with all the kids back at school on Tuesday, I may have a little more free time. Except that I'm so far behind with all the online stuff I have to do, that I don't know how I'll ever get caught up.
I know of at least a dozen sites I have to visit (and that will take several hours--minimum. When you give out awards, you have to check out a site more carefully), I have to get caught up on the sites that I visit regularly, and I have to check out the links and do corrections on a site that I volunteered to do this on.
So, I'm off to put up my browser for a few hours--for the first time in ages, and after I upload this, I'll be busy for a while.
