One of Grandma's favorite memories is of Johnny sitting in her chair,
playing his guitar, while Ria sat on the footstool with the sheet music;
and they sang "The Rose" for her, in such sweet harmony. So we
chose the song and background for her album. You can hear the song
(though not THEIR version!) by clicking on the midi below.
And since Mary Jane always loves a cat nearby,
here's the Spirit of Smokey, to make sure we do this right!
This is Mary Jane, around her first birthday, September 28,1918.
She is pictured with her parents E.B. "Pappy" and Mary Valentine Tucker.
Here we see Mary Jane as a young child,
and then as a young lady!
Mary Jane's brother and sister,
Ernest Brison Tucker & Susan Beale Tucker
And then.........
.....along came Tim!
As a result of that star-crossed meeting, there came to be:
their children; Stormy, Peggy, Susan, and John.
(There is a 40 year gap between these pictures;
the kids all being in the same order was purely co-incidental!)
Below are a couple of "more recent" birthday pictures:
Mary Jane on her 81st birthday, when she joined the cyber-age;
and a year later, just proving she is holding up a lot better than her lap-top is!!!
