Free married Sarah Ann Powell 1877; A. H. Reagan married her sister Mary E. Powell in 1873. Joseph's and Sarah's eldest son, Henry Thomas Free, was born in Taylorsville in 1883; died in Floyd Co., 1982. After Joseph's death, Sarah married John Roberson; she died August 1897. She had infant twins (by Mr. Roberson) who also died about this time. Her mother, Eliza (McCrary) Powell lived at one time in Adairsville after the death of her 1st husband, Oliver C. Powell. Eliza married 2nd to Jeremiah Reagan (prob. Bartow Co.). Would like to find place of death and burial for these relatives if possible, as well as any other researchers of these lines. Re: John C. Leake From: BRuthe6723@aol.com To jbelew@bellsouth.net Hi Jean, Some time ago you were kind enough to send information on John Leake the son of samuel who married "Polly" Dendy. I thank you much for that info. Now we find that John C.W. Leake the son of Dr. William Wesley Leake, our Great Grandfather was born in Cartersville, Ga about 1751/52. He married Mary Beard and evidently removed to Osceola Co, Fla. where he died in 1903. Believe he is buried near Kissimmee. He would be our Grandfather Jeremiah Olin Leakes brother and we have nothing on him for our records. I thank you much for all your help and if you have any ideas we would certainly appreciate your input. Other Leakes settled in Cartersville including Armstead. There is a connection to the Milam family. We understand William Wesley gave property where Cartersville now stands. Thanks again Frank

Charles M. Blaylock & Philadelphia Kelly From: Chugger259@cs.com To: jbelew@bellsouth.net Hello Jean, . Charles was born approximately 1780 in North Carolina. I believe (what I want to prove) is that he is the son of Millington Blalock who is buried in Person County North Carolina in the Blalock family cemetary. It was then part of Cumberland County N.C. Millington died 17 Oct. 1827. (born1720 in Va.)There is a Charles Blaylock who married Ruth Kingsland on 01 Jun 1812 in Haywood County North Carolina, so it is highly possible that Charles was married twice, or that he may have left his first wife and never did marry Philadelphia Kelly legally. It may also be that Philadelphia was a Native American therefore no legal licensce was obtained. Or there may be an illusive licensce somewhere that I haven't found yet. That is where you come in. if my family can prove direct blood ties to Millington thru Charles, then that will mean we can trace as far back as Accomac Va. 1624.Which means we would be a founding family of one of the Jamestown Colonies. Oh! the Blaylocks did live in Bartow county before 1858 and maybe as early as 1838. Thank You For Any Info, Michael J. Blaylock
