Guiding Light

For each of us there is a light,
To guide us in the ways,
That lead to Christian joys of earth,
God will to use each day.
But we must live with Christ in heart–
As Shepherd and our Guide–
To have Him light and show the ways,
For us to journey by.

By day and night, our faith in Him,
Must never wane or dim,
And we must follow in His light–
Devoid of human sin;
For He is not just Guiding Light,
To joys of earthly hue,
He is the Guiding Light to God,
And joys of Heaven too!
