A series of books called *Europaeische Stammtafeln*, which have been published in various series. The first series, in two volumes, was written by Wilhelm Karl Prinz von Isenburg, and published in the 1930s. The second series was in five volumes, the first two of which were photographic reductions of the Isenburg volumes and were published in 1956, volumes 3-4 were edited by Frank Baron Freytag von Loringhoven and published in 1956 and 1957, and volune 5 was edited by Detlev Schwennicke and published in 1978.
Most people, though, when they say "ES", are referring to the most recent series, called the "Neue Folge" and edited by Detlev Schwennicke, which started being published in 1978. So far 19 volumes of this set have appeared (volumes 1-2, 4-16, and the four parts of volume 3), and another volume is expected later this year.
The publisher for every volume of every series of *Europaeische Stammtafeln* is the firm of J. A. Stargardt, which used to be in Marburg an der Lahn and is now in Berlin. Many, though certainly not all, of the volumes are still in print.
