JUNE 1989
Lock and Block
The next Rescue I participated in was in June, 1989. The Rally was held almost in my neighborhood, at a Catholic church, the more I learned about abortion and the procedures and the effects the more I felt compelled to do something.
Well hundreds of people turned out for the rally, and we had rented four buses from a Christian bus line, that had "Christians In Action" painted on the sides of them, and I mean they were super busses. They even had beds in the roof and all the comforts.
At the rally there were spies from the abortion camp and they were trying to find out where we were going to do the Rescue the next day, well we passed out maps for our people as to where to go after the rally that night, everyone was going to my house in the country and the busses would leave from there at 4:00 a.m.. By the time I arrived home there were lots of people everywhere in my yard, I had five acres, and even the buses were there. I thought it looked like heaven. And Joan Andrews was one of the people who came to my house. I really felt blessed and honored to have all these saints at my house, it definitely is holy ground now. Well the enemy never found us, and had no idea where we were going to be the next day. So at 4:00 a.m. the busses took off to St. Petersburg, Florida which was about 100 miles away. All the killing centers in Central Florida, the Orlando area had called the police to protect them from us, so they had hundreds of police surrounding their killing businesses, and here we were 100 miles south.
At this Rescue we did what is called Lock and Block, we had special bicycle locks and we hooked them together and around our necks that way it would make it more difficult for the police to remove us so speedily, and more babies would be saved the longer we were there. God really blessed us this day. The police were relatively considerate, and not abusive to us. The jaws of death could not even cut the locks off our necks, hallelujah! We sang "God Bless America", "Jesus Loves The Little Children", "Turn the Hearts of the Fathers to Their Children", etc. etc. One black police officer cried. I am sure there will be many tears on the day we stand before our Lord and He says and "what did you do to save my babies".
Well we were all there locked down in June in Florida, so it wasnt exactly cool. We kept the place closed all day and no babies died there that day. But to show how AWESOME our God is, after we were all arrested and booked at the jail with a court date for later, we got home about mid-night and the news was on and it showed all the police around the other killing centers in Orlando, and no babies were killed at EIGHT killing centers that day.
Now I want to tell you that not everyone that goes to a Rescue is arrested. There are alot of prayer warriors that go and do not block the doors but stand by and pray and sing. Only the ones who feel strongly enough convicted and really trust the Lord to believe what He said, when He said what greater love has man than to lay down his life for his friends, these are the ones who actually block the doors. We believe that we are obeying God's law when He said in Proverbs 24:10-12 Rescue those who are being drug to the slaughter. When Peter was arrested he said I must obey God's law rather than man's. I just do not understand Pastors who have acutally come out against Rescues, and said it is not Biblical. I can't believe that these Pastors have not read the Bible and know that all the apostles were arrested and even Jesus Himself was arrested. I don't know what some of our Pastors are teaching in their churches, but obviously whatever it is, it is not working when you see our society so rapidly disintegrating.
The day I sang "I Have Decided To Follow Jesus", my life has never been the same. We have to put shoes on our faith to follow Jesus and stand up with HOLY BOLDNESS and proclaim His Word. Not only shout it from the housetops, but out in the streets, and resist the devil.
