I know my present history to my fathers dads name and thats about it. His name is James Carlton Joyce and his dad is Vincent depaul patrick Joyce. Queensland Australia.

My grandmother, one of seven daughters, came to Portland from Roundstone, County Galway c. 1897 with her sister Sarah. Their parents were Michael and Catherine Grimes Joyce. We are looking for anything before the births of these girls in the 1860's and 0's. Some of them stayed in Ireland, one to England and some to the US. Thanks, Carol

My grandmother was Mary Ann (Mayme) Joyce who married James Patrick Quinlan in Kansas City, MO in 1915. Her father Patrick??? immigrated via New Orleans?? as a child with his parents from somewhere in Ireland. He refused to speak of the old country as h s family came to the USA to start a new life, therefore no one in the family knows much about ancestors. My grandmother had one older brother Patrick and three younger sisters: Catherine, Elizabeth and Johanna. Any suggestions??? Where to start???

My grandfather was born in Askeaton 1873 and christened Thomas T. Joy. His older brother (1871) was christened John Joyce. Do you know anything more about your Joyces from that area- it seems as though the name Joy and Joyce were used interchangably in Kerry and perhaps in that part of Limerick too.
