Generation 1

Johannes Hirsch died 5 February 1673 at Dautmergen, Wuerttemberg, Germany.  He married Maria Mayer and they had the following children:

  5. Johannes Hirsch

Generation 2

Andreas Hirsch was born 15 October 1670 at Dautmergen, Wuerttemberg, Germany and died before 2 November 1718 at Taebingen, Wuerttemberg, Germany.  He married Eva Glaser after 20 May 1703.  She was born 25 July 1678 at Taebingen, Wuerttemberg, Germany and died after 1733.  They had the following children:

  3. Martin Hirsch
  4. Jacob Hirsch
  5. Johannes Hirsch
  6. Christoph Hirsch
  7. Martin Hirsch/Deer

Generation 3

Martin Hirsch/Deer was born 16 August 1715 at Taebingen, Wuerttemberg, Germany.  He departed Taebingen about 16 April 1749 and arrived at Philadelphia aboard the Christian 13 September 1749.  In America he adopted the English translation of his surname changing it to Deer.  He married Frances Long, daughter of George Long.  He also married Anna Maria, surname unknown.  Children of Martin Hirsch/Deer and Frances Long:

  4. Barbara Hirsch/Deer

Generation 4

Andrew Deer was born c1757 and died 1798 at Madison Co., VA. Generation 2

Frances Deer was born 3 December 1782 and in spite of the fact that she was reported to have owned and used a German Bible and Hymnal and spoke English with an accent she was probably born in Virginia. She died 17 April 1870 at Montgomery Co., IN. Frances Deer married Israel Clore 7 or 17 of February 1805 at Hebron Lutheran Church, Madison Co., VA. Isreal Clore was born 15 April 1779 at Culpeper (now Madison) Co., VA and died 18 August 1854 at Waveland, Montgomery Co., IN. John Deer was born 4 March 1786 and died 7 August 1855 near Waveland, Montgomery Co., IN. He married Margaret Clore 27 November 1809 at Hebron Lutheran Church, Madison Co., VA. Margaret Clore, sister of Isreal Clore, was born 25 January 1790 at Madison Co., VA and died 9 March 1865 at Montgomery Co., IN. For more information on her ancestry see the Clore Family. Generation 3

Sarah Deer was born 16 April 1824 in Kentucky, probably in Boone Co. and died 30 December 1873 at Parke Co., IN. She married Howard Clore (aka Howard Clore, Sr.) 1 January 1857 at Indiana. He was born 23 March 1819 at Boone Co., KY and died 14 December 1895 at Parke Co., IN. Howard Clore had first married Sarah's sister Margaret Deer on 12 December 1839. He married third to Besty Ann, surname unknown, before 7 June 1880 when they sold land to Howard D. Clore (aka Howard Clore, Jr.) and she probably died before 1895 as she is not mentioned in Howard Clore, Sr.'s will. They had no known children together.
