Tina Stanton's Bio
Hello everybody! Let me introduce myself. I am Tina... a somewhat happy 33 year-old with bouts of sadness and "the cat from hell" called Pooky thrown in to keep me in a perpetual state of confusion. Seriously, if you met me on the street (you would run away?) you would see a woman with wind-swept hair, rosy cheeks, chattering teeth (it is winter and cold, what do you expect?), either laughing or smiling (probably both), with just a hint of mischief in her warm, friendly, brown eyes.
The street you found me on is in the small, eastern city of Saint John, the oldest incorporated city in Canada. Take a look down the main street, city centre, and you will spy the port... a frequent stopover of cruise ships. Tourists are often heard muttering, "Are you sure this isn't London? I can't see a thing through this fog." I have lived in this foggy city most of my adult life, growing up on the outskirts, and love its warmth and friendliness. The city may be small but it has a big heart!
I work for one of the bigger employers, over 3000 employees, in the city as a graphics designer. Not having been trained in this field, I have had to learn on-the-job, but I love it. Using my trusty Mac, I enthusiastically tackle each project, determined to give my customers the best. And seeing their happiness with the results leaves me with a feeling of pride and contentment. I work on a variety of projects thus keeping my job fresh and exciting. I arise each morning looking forward to the day ahead.
Books and reading are my passion. I cannot imagine my life without them. I spend a great deal of time reading... it seems to balance out the technology that surrounds me. Of course, getting out to a hockey game (go Flames!) or a concert is great fun. We are a hockey city and you can find the arena filled with eager, screaming fans when the team is in town.
