How to build a hedgehog wheel
We made are hedgehogs a wheel out of very easy to get materials but they enjoy it more than anything in there cage. They will run hours at a time, they run so much that there paws got swollen so we had to take it out for a few days.
Materials:
1.two wood rings, 10 to 12 inches depending on the size of your hedgehog, like that you would use for
sewing
2.popsicles sticks or dowel rods
3.a strong glue that will bond to wood
4.a metal coat hanger
5.a soda straw
Here is the instructions for creating a wheel:
1.first take the sewing and using a saw cut the screw off and then glue the ends together.
2.begin gluing Popsicle sticks or dowel rods around the outside of the hoops, give them about 15
minutes to dry and then go to the next step.
3.Now its time to build the cross bars you would build them in a cross see the picture below...
4.Now glue them on where their is plenty of excess glue where it won't break.
5.Now using a drill put a hole in the center of both cross bars and run a close hanger through them. It should look like this.
