He and his parents and siblings immigrated to America on the ship Estonia, leaving 12 Sep 1921, arrived 29 Sep 1921, thru Lsbava. [Mothers # papers 4891137, Petition # 76219.] Frank was a truck driver. He married
(1) 1 May 1937, in Sioux City, Iowa, Charlotte Cotton, born 02 Mar 1916, Sioux City, Iowa, Sioux City, Iowa, (daughter of Charles Cotton and Eva L Grimm Marotta). Charlotte was an executive secretary. She died 07 Mar 1940 of heart trouble in Sioux City, Iowa, buried: Calvary Cem., Sioux City, Iowa. Frank and Charlotte lived at 418 West 18th St. They had adopted "Gene" Shaputis.

Frank married (2) in Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska, Berneice Lucille Clark (daughter of Ralph Clark and Surrenda Frances Saunders), born 16 May 1917, Dixon county, Nebraska. About 1940, Berniece became a Catholic, St. Casmir (Catholic Church), Sioux City, IA. Frank and Berniece moved to Denver, CO, in 1946, divorced 1950 in Denver, CO. Divorce final 10 Feb 1952. Bernice worked at Lerner's Shops 10 1/2 yrs as a receiving clerk. She raised Frank "Gene" Eugene (Miller) Shaputis with her own children after her marriage and divorce to Frank.

Frank married (3) 16 Dec 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, Alice Lamson Peer, born 17 Aug 1923, Morristown, NJ, died 10 May 1974, Denver, CO, buried: Denver, CO, after a long illness. Frank died Jan 1995, Denver, CO. His ashes were buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery block 39, Buena Vista, CO.
