Notes for Malinda FOSTER

I believe that Malinda could possibly be the mother of Gabriel. It is
unlikely that Mary (Polly) gave birth to him at 47 years old. Malinda is
still listed in her father's house in the 1870 Census as domestic help.
I found Malinda's grave at Arrowood Church in March 1997. She is buried
in the Clement section, next to her husband, John Clement. The stone
reads, "Malinda Foster Clement". I am sure that this is the Moses and
Mary's daughter, as she is buried next to her sister, Eliza Ann Foster.
Eliza's stone reads "Daughter of Moses and Mary Foster". There are no
other Fosters buried here. The fact that she is here must mean that she
is Malinda's sister.
