then no sacrifice is too great for me to give for Him." C.T. Studd
I What Does It Mean to see Jesus As Lord?
1. One having power and authority over others.
2. As creator, and as the Son of God, Jesus is entitled to our service and obedience. B. When we see Jesus as our Lord, we will be submitting to His authority, no longer to our own.
II Who Is Jesus?
1. The trinity.
C. Matthew 1:18,22-23 -- Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel." which is translated, "God with us." (see Isaiah 7:14)
1. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit.
a. Jesus had to be born without sin.
D. Hebrews 7:26 -- For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;
E. John 1:29 -- The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"
F. I Corinthians 15:4 -- ...and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scripture.
G. Mark 16:19 -- So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
H. Hebrews 7:25 -- Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
I. Revelation 22:12 -- " And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work."
J. Philippians 2:9-11 -- Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
III What Has Jesus Done Already?
B. II Corinthians 5:19-21 -- that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
1. Definition of atonement - Reconciliation of the guilty by divine sacrifice.
C. Isaiah 53:5 -- But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
1."He was wounded for our transgressions."
D. I John 3:8 -- He who sins is on the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was minifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
1. Destroyed is the Greek word "luo" which means to loose, release, dissolve.
IV THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST MUST BE TOTAL
1. Hosea 10:2 -- Their heart is divided; Now they are held guilty. He will break down their altars; He will ruin their sacred pillars..

![]() Every area of this person's heart is under the Lordship of Christ. The will of God is above the person's desires. Jesus is in control.
B. The benefits of submitting to Jesus' Lordship.
1. Matthew 6:33 -- "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righeousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
As we read the entire passage (Philippians 4:15-19) we see that our obedience to God's directive to give, results in God taking care of our needs!
will guard you hearts and minds through Christ Jesus! God bless you richly as you seek to do His will and receive His Son as Lord in your life!
