Christian Marriage & Family.
This Month's Topic:

Search me, O God,
and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24

Want to make a "big" difference in your life?
Do you feel like you are trying your best within your Christian walk, but for some reason you still feel abandoned and don't understand why?
Ask God to reveal to you any areas in your life of unconfessed sin!
Then listen,...meditate... and quietly wait for the answer!
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
John 1, 8-9
There is great relief in understanding and acknowledging sin in ones life. Many times we are unaware of the sins! One of Satan's greatest deceiving methods is to make us feel that the "sin" was necessary or not our fault and therefore not confessed. Many times we make "excuses" for the why's....as if to say if was okay! Unconfessed sin is a danger that hides deep inside and does more destruction in your life that you know. In Christ we know that all of our sins will be forgiven....if we confess, repent and turn away from it!
What is sin? What would your definition be? One of the most common definitions of sin is "missing the mark", a failure to live up to an expected standard. Others call it lawlessness or simply anything that is contrary to what the Word of God commands or forbids. All unrighteousness is sin! (1 John 5:17) When born again we are to keep ourselves from sin, but this only happens to the believer who dilligently seeks God's Word in His life. Saying a "prayer" of salvation will not keep you from sinning. This is a sinful world dominated by Satan. Only by keeping God's Word foremost in your life will you be equiped to stave off the "sinful" nature of man.
As we acknowlege our sins to God, we receive forgiveness and reconciliation with God, which then cleanses us of guilt and the destructive power of sin. It is only then that we may live lives of holiness. Without acknowleged and confessed sin you will be unable to make spiritual progress.
Sincere repentance requires an honest, sincere and repentant heart. There is no sin too great or too small. God will cleanse us completely. Having received the forgiveness and cleansing, the Believer is able to forsake his sin and yeild himself completely to God. This restores us to full fellowship with our Father!

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
Psalm 32:1-2

Too many of our marriages, families and our personal lives are filled with distress and unhappiness. This is not what your Father in heaven wants for you in your life. He wants you to understand Him and His wisdom so you can apply it directly in your life. He wants you to seek His kingdom first in your life......one of the ways of seeking His kingdom is to be renewed from your past and present sins. Get the slate wiped sparkling clean, clear out the "junk" thats been hiding inside you. Humbly ask God to reveal anything that is hindering you from your relationship with Him! God wants to answer your prayers,...however, we must FIRST understand His Will. This is God's perfect law!
He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy
Proverbs 28:13
You cannot hear Him or understand Him when you have not released your transgressions against God and His laws. Those who try to cover their sins are among the lost, but those who confess and forsake their sins are saved in Christ Jesus!
SIN creates INTERNAL BONDAGE CONFESSION & REPENTANCE is breaking free
into a fulfilling life in Christ Jesus!

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy and find grace
to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16
