Please accept our apologies for the poor quality of the photo. The illusion of the movie house definately got the better of me. Mistakingly, I used a flash with this shot and didn't stop to think the screen was actually white. The flash completely washed the image off the screen. This wasn't discovered until a couple weeks after the event when the pictures were developed.
Although this photo quality is poor, the image at the theater was breathtaking!! The equipment used was quite simple. A VHS camcorder fed into a VCR which in turn fed into a ceiling mounted projector. The unit appears similar to the three tube projectors which were used on the front projection type large screen televisions. Simple, but quite effective!
The raceview software was also projected onto the screen (lower left corner) with a projector connected to the back of a laptop computer.
Hope this info is useful to you.........several people have asked, and yes we will be using this setup for the district Cub race.......this was a trial run to get a "market study". No since taking a chance where the plan could've failed in front of the whole district!! 8^)
