<TXJune> I assume she can't download anything to their machines
<RiffRaff> I'm feeling ok, I guess. :) Myky's fine, he's lying down next to me. :)

<TXJune> Well Duane and the other Robert seem to be fence sitters
<RiffRaff> TxJune: when are you going to begin the meeting, sweetie? I have lots of questions. :)
<TXJune> start questioning
<JerseyL> Good idea, let's start.
<RiffRaff> Well, first, if TXJune wants to put in her two cents...

<RiffRaff> what in the world?
<JerseyL> I'm confused!
Troi-Patt is now known as Pattie
<RiffRaff> what was THAT? :)
<TXJune> irc art
<Kwahts> Something for the Pirch People
<RiffRaff> or an unreasonable facsimile. :)
<TXJune> with a break from Pattie. LOL
<Pattie> LOL.. sorry about that..
<who> EXCUSE ME: Adjourned = suspended until a later time (?)
<RiffRaff> I guess that's lost on us Mirc folks. :)
<Counselor> Must be for a special group...all I get is a bunch of hex-like characters.
<RiffRaff> June..you mean to say "Meeting in Session". :)
<Pattie> Guess it should read Meeting is in Session
<RiffRaff> LOL
<Kwahts> You ain't missing much
<Pattie> LOL.. Same thought
<Kwahts> Really
TXJune changes topic to "Meeting in Session"
Pattie applauds
<Lexa> I got graphics, looks like a flag or something
<who> Kwahts: don't be a Pirch snob...mirc does it quite well too
Kwahts bows to TXJune
<Pattie> I am using Mirc 4.72.. I saw the graphics
<Counselor> I'm using IRCII
<TXJune> Lets get busy before Lexa passes out on us
<Sweetcake> Confererate flag.
<RiffRaff> i am using mirc too...but got a lot of numbers. :)
Kwahts points knowingly to lexa.
<RiffRaff> ok...lets.
<Lexa> thanks, June :)
RiffRaff gives June the floor.
<JerseyL> I'm using mirc and it looks like a confederate flag to me too
<TXJune> Someone had a question(s)
<who> mIRC 4.7+ does graphics
<RiffRaff> oh...I have a few..
RiffRaff proffers a long scroll from his fur.
<TXJune> RR has the floor
<RiffRaff> Ok, first off: We've decided on the topic, I imagine..I'm a little confused as to what it is..sorry I'm not caught up just yet.
<RiffRaff> you want to do a page about WHO uses the web and why?
<kko> I thought it was a site about how to do more than just run of the mill HTML
<RiffRaff> that's why I'm confused, I guess. :)
<TXJune> It's our page; not just mine; any ideas; jump right in
<RiffRaff> Well, I offered to do a sort of "special effects" section...showing a lot of detailed graphics and animations and what not..but short enough that it won't take long to load.
<TXJune> My idea was why you choose to make a web page; how you go about learning to ; where to put it up; how to put it up; how you pick your topic and why
<kko> I'm pretty comfortable with just taking a piece of the outline and working from that.
<TXJune> We need the graphics
<RiffRaff> showing how some people use animations and effects to make people notice. :)
<JerseyL> I think we need specific ideas before we need graphics
<RiffRaff> exactly...
<TXJune> the top 10 sites are usually graphic laden
<kko> I think a special effects section would be great! Include how to do it.
<Counselor> For my part, I was going to take the various html lessons (java, frmaes, etc.) and explain how to use them and still make them accesible by various browsers, including text browsers.
<Sweetcake> I think the teachers wat you to make a page about something...in fact they said anything except a "this is me" page..something that is a meaningful contribution to society as a whole. Also they will be giving us weekly topics to learn and make pages about and references lists and I guess they want you to then use some of these things on your groups main page. So that besides learning new html stuff what will weill create means something to others.
<RiffRaff> so the idea is to make a page that demonstrates our grasp of what we learn in class.
<kko> I think that teaching these tools to others is meaningful.
<RiffRaff> and put it into practice. :)

Kwahts whistles in total awe!
<JerseyL> When I first saw the outline I was thinking of general things first like why people in general get interested and different ways people can learn html.
<TXJune> There are lots and lots of HTML help pages; that's why I suggested beyond html..
<RiffRaff> Beyond HTML..hmmm...
BodyGlove [~robnys@dppp51.buffnet.net] has left #Web-O-Crats
<TXJune> one of the big hang ups last year was picking a topic for our pages
wolflady [~bmiller@maq1-cs-2.dial.midplains.net] has quit IRC (Connection reset by peer)
<JerseyL> From there we can do how we specifically got involved.
who [scharney@dd79-063.compuserve.com] has quit IRC (Ping timeout)
<Sweetcake> right and if each person is making a page they can interperate what is meaningful to society to them... I think everyones ideas will fit what the teachers want.
<TXJune> splits; here we go
<RiffRaff> alright...so let's get this fleshed out...how can we as individuals contribute to this page that explains on Beyond Html. :)
<JerseyL> what does that mean? (timeouts)
TXJune sets mode: +o RiffRaff
<Pattie> I just bought Instant 3D for windows.. I am learning how to do and manipulate 3D images.. I hope to use some on my part of the page
<TXJune> In case I get split RiffRaff
<RiffRaff> I just got Microsoft Gif Animator, thanks to June, and I love it..very easy to use.
<TXJune> How did you learn to do HTML; why; how did you find where to put your page etc, etc.
<Pattie> there are also alot of shareware packages for animated and transparent GIFs on the Tucows site.
<RiffRaff> To be honest, I learned HTML from other people's source codes. :)
<TXJune> Compile our answers and make a group page about these methods
<TXJune> Me too
<RiffRaff> and from books...
<JerseyL> Why don't we each tell how we learned html now and see if we can go somewhere with it.
<TXJune> From VU too; some books
<JerseyL> I took a class
<RiffRaff> thats a good idea, Jersey..get a feel for what everyone knows, and how.
<kko> One not too often discussed topic is choosing your topic and making it be useful for your planned redera.
<TXJune> View Source's; books; VU classes; bugging people on how they did it
<RiffRaff> hehe

<RiffRaff> that and "HTML for Dummies" :)
Gollum [~gollumnyc@ad61-166.compuserve.com] has joined #Web-O-Crats
<TXJune> Love that cut and paste
<JerseyL> How did we all get interested in doing this??
<TXJune> from View Sources
<kko> HTML assistant, and creating a few pages for my work's intranet. Nothing fancy, though.
<RiffRaff> Oh, I got an idea.. how about a silly section, books NOT to read for learning HTML? :)
<JerseyL> also I used hot dog.
<TXJune> surfing the internet
<RiffRaff> we could make cute book covers. :)
<TXJune> I used Hot Dog Pro too; till it timed out on me. LOL
<RiffRaff> and put them on the web. :)
<TXJune> Forgot to pay for it... LOL
<Sweetcake> I learned from the simple editor at geocities and then read magazines and tried it on my own and asked friends to look at my code and help me improve it and then I started looking at the code on other peoples pages. I do 90% of my coding while online using the geocities editor trping everything in...on ocassion I use Hot Dog pro if I am working offline.
<Pattie> I use HotDog Pro..
<JerseyL> I think we are off to a good start.
<TXJune> I still use the editor at Geo; laziness
<RiffRaff> I never use an editor... too confusing for me.. I take it straight. :)
<JerseyL> This would be helpful to people who don't know where to start
Gollum [~gollumnyc@ad61-166.compuserve.com] has left #Web-O-Crats

<Sweetcake> I got interested in making my first web page just to learn how html worked. I picked my topic for my home page by what I did most on the www..this was surfing for free stuff.
<RiffRaff> wolflady: nope, I used a plain old unix editor. :)
<TXJune> THAT'S WHAT BEYOND HTML IS ALL ABOUT
<TXJune> LOL
<TXJune> web Who
TXJune sets mode: +o who
<TXJune> wb not web
<TXJune> can't type or spell
<Sweetcake> cut and paste helped me lear a lot!!
<RiffRaff> June's got web on the brain. :)
<JerseyL> Why did the rest of you learn??
<RiffRaff> I learned HTML to MAKE MONEY! :)
<TXJune> don't know where my brain is
<JerseyL> good reason
<RiffRaff> I found people were paying a fortune to have advertising done!
<wolflady> me, too...I'm desperate!LOL
<who> me...career advancement
<RiffRaff> I handled about 5 other pages for a while... earned income off all of these...
<TXJune> Can't find anyone to pay; they all know HTML too
<Kwahts> I've not found anyone who wants to pay for Web pages.
<Sweetcake> ohh..you should always save your html to disk before and after using the geocities editor..just in case! someone trashed my webpage and I was glad that I always saved everything.
<JerseyL> There are people out there willing to pay
<RiffRaff> Seriously, I learned HTML to help supplement our income at our company, and to give us extra skills and knowledge in case someone was needing web help. :)
<Lexa> I hope I'll find a lot of customers soon who wants pages :)) here is a lot of people who don't know how to do it
<Pattie> An engineering friend paid me to do his site.. and my work.. also engineering is paying me to do their site..
<RiffRaff> Lexa: did you tell them your idea yet? :)
<kko> There are plenty of companies who want highly skilled coders - tons of animation and Java
<Lexa> nope, not yet, Riffy
<who> Imma Tech Writer who's been stuck in the dinosaur graveyard of main frames
<wolflady> What's your idea, Lexa/
<who> hope to use HTML to get into PC land
<wolflady> Lexa, are you still awake?
<Lexa> it's not my idea actually, it's Paul idea :) he helped me to find something what I'll do for class...how,who and why people in Slovenia (my home land) using web
<Lexa> yep, i'm here
<TXJune> Sound great Lexa
<TXJune> sounds
<wolflady> That's a great, idea
<RiffRaff> Lexa is our only outside-America contact. :) she can give us the birds-ee view of how people are using the web over where she is. :)
<Lexa> i'm just a bit slow at this time of day :)
<JerseyL> I would like to do how schools are using the web for public relations rather than a teaching tool.
<Sweetcake> Greetha is in India.
<TXJune> Geetha is outside USA; she might do one like that too
<RiffRaff> Ok Jersey!
<RiffRaff> I forgot about Geetha.. :)
<JerseyL> actually I don't know if that came out right.
<TXJune> That other Robert; is he in America?
<RiffRaff> Schools, right?
<JerseyL> I'm looking for positive not negative.
<wolflady> do you work at a school?
<Sweetcake> I don't really know what do do....anyone have an idea that would fit into the "Beyond HTML theme? I would like to try frames but really do not know what to do except for a "This is how to do frames" page.
<RiffRaff> Jersey: so instead of teaching the students, you want to feature school webs that inspire them, purrhaps?
<TXJune> I've been so busy with the group I haven't thought of my subject either; Sweetcake
<JerseyL> I teach high school and we have a web site that I work on. I will be teaching students the coding to work on the page.
<TXJune> We could do; stay at home moms; they DO have careers; their kids. LOL
<wolflady> What are they using it for in your school?
<JerseyL> I think it offers terrific public relations for schools and know a lot of schools that need help getting started. I think this page could help them.
<Lexa> oh, and I thought i'm the only one without idea, before Riffy found one for me
<wolflady> That's a great idea, Linda
<JerseyL> Thanks
RiffRaff has the purrfect subject. "Guess what...it just came to me. Anyone ever read "Dr. Suess' 'On Beyond Zebra'? I could do a web page showing the lighter side of webbing, including the top ten WORST books (totally fictitious) to use for learning HTML. :)
<Counselor> Yeah, Linda, I like that idea.
<TXJune> No, figured we needed to get the group idea down first
<Sweetcake> I was thinking of the memorial wall but somehow it does not fit in..may just add it as a section to my site when I have the time.
<wolflady> We should have you picking topics for
<TXJune> Cool idea Riff
<RiffRaff> When I'm stuck...go for laughs. :)
<JerseyL> maybe Carol could do something about causes
<wolflady> I really liked that idea, Carol
<JerseyL> What about family
<JerseyL> I noticed your family on the web. Do you have family all over the country (world) who checks your page?
<Sweetcake> I don't know I have to think of something specific that ties into the "Beyond HTML" theme I think..just have not put my finger on it yet.
<RiffRaff> "Learn HTML in a week - Lose Hair in 3 days!"
<wolflady> LOL
<Lexa> LOL
<RiffRaff> something like that. :)
<TXJune> Anything can tie into the Beyond HTML theme
<JerseyL> absolutely
<RiffRaff> and have "book reviews" on these. :)
<TXJune> LOL RiffRaff
RiffRaff jots down some notes.
<Sweetcake> Not really...I have a brother-in-law in fla & md who checks it and a sister in the city but that's about it.
<JerseyL> Do your kids contribute?
<Sweetcake> My daughter has a "I love Jonathan Taylor Thomas" page but I mostly did it for her while she watched.
<JerseyL> Even something like making a home page as a family project.
<TXJune> My daughter is a JTT nut too
<Sweetcake> I also helped my mom make a simple web page in Geocities.
<RiffRaff> he's cute. :)
RiffRaff gapes and takes that back...
<Sweetcake> noone else comes near the computer because they can't get me out of this chair!
<RiffRaff> Sweetcake: hehehe...
<TXJune> lucky; we all fight for computer time. LOL Behave RR
<TXJune> LOL
<JerseyL> What about developing a home page to help people--finding free stuff, finding info
<Counselor> We have 2 computers and 2 phone lines. :P
<wolflady> You mean your kids don't try to grab it from you? mine does!
<TXJune> ;-PPPP Counselor
<Sweetcake> I'll think of something and if I don't come up with something soon I will do the memorial wall [as a gift for my sister]
<RiffRaff> Jersey: arent there enough of those out there already? :)
<TXJune> animated emoticons. LOL
<who> Sweet:???
<JerseyL> Riff--enough of what? I'm just brainstorming, throwing out ideas.
<Sweetcake> we have 3 computers..before I became addicted to the internet I ran a 4 node free public access bulliten boad [bbs] system...computer stuff everywhere here.
<RiffRaff> Jersey: I know.. :)
<TXJune> throw them ideas out: I need em
<Sweetcake> my personal home page is already a large database on finding free stuff on the internet.
<who> SWEETCAKE: Memorial wall????
<wolflady> So, are we sticking with the Beyond HTML theme?
<TXJune> I liked the SIDS wall idea; sweetcakes
<RiffRaff> I like it...Already scribbing down ideas. :)
<Counselor> Sweetcake, I still run by BBS, but I don't give it as much attention as I used to.
<RiffRaff> Sids? Who's Sid?
<wolflady> I do too, Carol
<Sweetcake> Yes a memorial wall for people who have lost infants to SIDS..2 years ago a couple of days after christmas my sister lost her baby to sids
<Sweetcake> Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
<RiffRaff> OH! THAT Sids.. :(
<RiffRaff> I'm sorry...
<Pattie> well, Kwats and I have decided to pool our efforts into a page with many links dealing with Religion.
<RiffRaff> brain lapse here.
<TXJune> Think its a great cause
<Kwahts> The reason I got involved n the InterNET was to evangelize...
<Sweetcake> Maybe I'll stick with the memorial wall as a gift for my sister..I guess that is beyond html.
<Kwahts> This is it.
<Kwahts> Gonna do it
<RiffRaff> ok..so we have so far: SIDS, Religion, Humor, Slovenian, Indian, what else?
<JerseyL> The memorial wall is certainly beyond html and a beautiful idea.
<JerseyL> schools
<who> SWEET: have you seen my mem page for my father?
<Pattie> we will still have our pages on our own home page, but they will be linked together.
<Sweetcake> I ran my BBS on PCBoard software for over 4 years and took it down because I was on the Internet too much
<RiffRaff> schools...sorry. :)
<Sweetcake> no I have not.
<RiffRaff> ok..so we have so far: SIDS, Religion, Humor, Schools, Slovenia, India...?
<Sweetcake> whats the URL for your memorial?

<who> says a lot of the things we are saying here
TeXJune is now known as TXJune
<JerseyL> Riff, what about finding a job on the net or making money on the net.
<who> off the front page is links to each of us
<RiffRaff> Jersey: oh, I could use that, huh? :)
<Sweetcake> What the URL for your memorial page for your father?
<who> these pages are like bios with the whys and personal stories
<RiffRaff> Jersey: If I'm not discrimiated against. :)
<who> Then, from these pages we can each go into our persoan causes
<JerseyL> What about "how everyone is equal on the web"
<JerseyL> No one knows who anyone is
<wolflady> Who, have you seen the memorial site where anyone can link their memorial to a large site that is designed just for that purpose?
<who> That sounds like an MCI commercial
<who> BEV: only the pet cemetary
<Sweetcake> no unless someone volunteers the info you don't really know if any of us are male or female, what color or religion we are etc.
<who> or, one that is kinda really blah...almost scholarly
<TXJune> I missed most of it, who, bummer
<Sweetcake> Wolflady send me the url for that site if you can..I would enjoy looking at it for ideas..and to also link my page to it when finished.
<wolflady> No, it's a really nice site I just found the other day, I'm going to do one for my Dad.
<who> Bev: that was what i wanted to develop
<JerseyL> Carol, you could even do a part on how to make a memorial on the web.
<who> with or without the class

<Counselor> Yeah, June, I'll help out too if needed...
<TXJune> learn what they mean
<who> i can help too

<JerseyL> who gives the assingments, June?
<TXJune> That's what we are all here for; I see you who
<TXJune> Leapin and ghatten give the assignments
<JerseyL> ok'
<Kwahts> No he doesn't! :-)
<Sweetcake> the teachers will give out an assignment once every two weeks for us to learn a different thin in html
Kwahts points to Who.
<JerseyL> That's what I thought.
<JerseyL> Do they give instructions and we do it?
<TXJune> That's why I suggested when someone trys something like say image maps; write down how you do it; and we will have it when they do assign it
<TXJune> I get the feeling that's what the groups do. Work together to figure out how
<Sweetcake> I don't know..guess we will see next week when our second assignment arrives in our mailbox.
<Kwahts> I installed a ListSERV, today.
<JerseyL> I was hoping they would give instructions and we would work together to develop it.
<Sweetcake> did you keep good notes?
<Kwahts> Does the group want to use it?
<Counselor> Use what?
<JerseyL> I wouldn't even know where to start on image maps.
<RiffRaff> Well, I got my contribution set..i tooknotes too. :)
<TXJune> Like Carol says; we'll see how much info we get next Mon. when the new lessons come out for 825
<JerseyL> Riff, what did you decide?
<who> i gotta go do daddy things for a while...but i'll lurk
<wolflady> Anybody that finds any good urls that explain how to do any of this stuff, send them to me so I can put them up on the log page, that way we can all use it as a quick reference.
<Sweetcake> ok
Kwahts nods. Good idea.
<Counselor> Does anyone here subscribe to the html mailing list?
<TXJune> Geo has a beginners url to learn image maps; I have it somewhere...
<RiffRaff> I'm doing a funny page in loving tribute to Dr. Suess called "On Beyond HTML" :)
<JerseyL> Good
<Sweetcake> no what is the html mailing list? and if we wanted to subsribe how do we do it?
<wolflady> which mail list..the one for the HTML guild?
<JerseyL> This was fun and I think we got something accomplished. I have to go.
<TXJune> I get enough email now; can't stand more from a listserve; thats why I got out of hubby's email box. He's in 2 listserves
Kwahts waves goodbye for now.
<Counselor> Bye
<TXJune> Like Riffs idea
<wolflady> bye, Linda
<Lexa> bye Linda
<TXJune> Bye linda
<JerseyL> We're meeting again Sunday aren't we?
<RiffRaff> for the class, yes...
<who> RiffRaff: saw a Dr Seuss does O.J. page totherday
<Sweetcake> I'm gonna keep open both channels so at least we can chit chat while the meeting is going on as you really can't talk in 825 unless your a leader.
<wolflady> Riff, do you have any good urls for graphics?
<TXJune> Big class; wonder what the questions will be this week; we need a new spokesperson
<RiffRaff> wolf: umm..not really..i have always made my own. :) ummm...hmm....
<JerseyL> Are we not meeting Sunday at 8 EST?
<TXJune> I have lots of urls for making your own graphics
<wolflady> okay...what do you use?
<TXJune> I'll give them to Bev to put on her url site
<wolflady> send me them? pretty please?
<Kwahts> Great!
<RiffRaff> send them to me too. :)
<Sweetcake> I don't think we sould really conduct study group business but sorta chit chat when we feel like it
<TXJune> I'm sure Bev will put them on our page

<Sweetcake> got an error like my tabs were out of wak or something in pirch and it shut down!
<Sweetcake> nope..did not find any new frosting!
<RiffRaff> LOL.
<RiffRaff> ok, I'm set to begin my page, I think...now, can i keep this on my own domain until i move it to geocities?
<Sweetcake> what did I miss? Anything?
<Sweetcake> either that or keep it on your site and have it referenced off the geocities page with a link.
<wolflady> yeah, exactly how are we going to set this up?
<TXJune> I work on my page; get most of it done; then upload it
<TXJune> You can update and add to anytime
<TXJune> Use the EZ editor; its a great cheat
<RiffRaff> ok..I'll just keep it on mine, then add a link for it. :)
<Sweetcake> have you tried the new java editor yet?
<TXJune> Java editor?
<TXJune> in Geo
<RiffRaff> theres a java editor?
<TXJune> I used the advanced; doesn't it do Java
<Sweetcake> yes in geocities you now have 3 choices..ezeditor, regular editor or new jave editor.
<TXJune> Is that the advanced?
<wolflady> is that the advanced editor?
<Counselor> BTW, how do these editors work?
<TXJune> great minds.....
<Sweetcake> I use the advanced editor also was wondering if you tried the new java it suppose to be inbetween the easy and advanced. I am also going to keep my page at my site and just link it to our main page.
<TXJune> Go to the geo utilityes and click on EZ editor (not EZ uploader)
<Sweetcake> The edito somehow is a java based editor..
<TXJune> utilities
<TXJune> I haven't tried that one I guess
<Sweetcake> the advanced editor is sorta like typing in notepage.
<TXJune> I've used the one in the middle
<Sweetcake> the ezeditor makes a basic page for you like fill in the blanks.
<Lexa> my dear friends, i need to go back to bed, I'm glad that i was here for a while
<TXJune> Nite Lexa; your a trooper
Counselor says bye, lexa
<Sweetcake> sleep well..
<RiffRaff> nite kitty.. *kiss on nose*
<wolflady> You have it load the page you want to edit and then edit it, click on virew, create, and it goes to your page, which should show the changes.
<Lexa> thanks, bye
<wolflady> bye, Lexa
Lexa [akavs@ppp-lj37.unistar.si] has quit IRC (Leaving)
<Sweetcake> Did Lexa fall asleep before she quit the channel?
<Sweetcake> there she goes..
<TXJune> If you use the ez editor you need to remember to save a copy of your view source to your files; like I hardly ever do
<wolflady> LOL..do that too!
<Counselor> If you don't save it, what happens to it?
<RiffRaff> i think i will call it a night too now..unless there's anything else?
<TXJune> Do as I say...not as I do. LOL
<Sweetcake> I always use the middle editor ...maybe I'll create a dummy page to see what this intermediate java thing is.
<TXJune> If Geo crashes your in big doo-doo
<Sweetcake> I can't think of anything important left to discuss.
<wolflady> bye, Riff, be good!
<TXJune> if you don't save
<Sweetcake> that's why I save before and after and pray when I hit the submitt button!
<Counselor> bye
<TXJune> Bye RiffRaff
<RiffRaff> nite ladies. :) *hugs*
<Counselor> So, does one edit by entering info into forms?
<TXJune> {{{{{{{{{RiffRaff and MYKY}}}}}}}}
<Sweetcake> in the advanced editor you type everything in your self just like windows notepad
<RiffRaff> Myky says "meow!" back. :) nite!
RiffRaff [cutter@p28-ts10.en.net] has left #Web-O-Crats
<wolflady> see you Sun., Riff
<TXJune> I've never tried anything but the advanced and its just one big page (form?)
<Sweetcake> yup just a big page.
<Counselor> Well, I was just curous...I gues I'll have to take a lok at it sometime.
<Sweetcake> in the ez one you fill in a form and have to use their graphic chioces and stuff to make a very very basic page.
<TXJune> I love it for adding just one or two things
<Counselor> Well, I couldn't live with that... :)
<TXJune> Today I added the Missing Children's links and banner
<Counselor> I suppose it would be useful for that purpose.
<wolflady> That's how I fixed Paties links tonight, now I've gotta remember to change my own copyLOL
<TXJune> and used the EZ editor; and no I haven't saved it yet. LOL
<TXJune> I still upload my own graphics
<TXJune> Not interested in their Calvin and Hobbes stuff. LOL
<Counselor> So far, on all my pages, I've created them on my pc and uploaded them.
<wolflady> That's how I do it, just use the editor to quick fix mistakes
<TXJune> me too
<Counselor> Has anyone used the netscape editor?
<Sweetcake> no I have it but have never tried it..
<TXJune> No, I've heard it uses its own kind of HTML
<wolflady> Then forget to save it, and upload the same mistakes when I update the next time LOL
<TXJune> I do the same thing with the mistakes. LOL
<Counselor> How about Hotdog? I heard it was a good editor.
<wolflady> great minds....LOL
<TXJune> I liked HotDogPro but kind of pricey; $99.00 and each of the add ins cost around 50 bucks and there are lots of them
<wolflady> My son has been using the trial of Front Page, and he loves it, but it expires tonight, and he's frantic.
<Sweetcake> I like Hot Dog..that is what I use..just ordered the update for it last week..am still waiting for it to arrive..
<TXJune> Used it till my shareware time ran out. LOL
<TXJune> I bought front page have never used it
<TXJune> looks too business like; is it
<Sweetcake> I bought version 2.0 at price club pretty cheap..the upgrade to the newest version is $30 for registered users.
<Sweetcake> There is another shareware html editor called homesite and it works pretty good also.
<wolflady> I didn't like it, too involved...I use Homesite
<TXJune> They email your HTML code don't they?
<Sweetcake> email what html code?
<TXJune> I have my own homemade notepad HTML editor. LOL Won't do fancy stuff though
<TXJune> Homesite; doesn't it email you your code?
<wolflady> no, it's just a regular editor
<TXJune> k
<Sweetcake> I don't know..I did not register homesite I tried it..I decided to buy hot dog pro cause I saw it at Price Club.
<wolflady> I like it cause it does a lot of repetitive stuff, but doesn't get in the way too much
<Sweetcake> Homesite also has it's own built in viewer so you do not need a browser opened in order to see your code I believe.
<wolflady> yeah, it does
<Counselor> Where does one get this editor?
<Sweetcake> off the internet..do they have their own web site? Maybe from shareware.com?
<wolflady> You can download almost any editor from http://www.windows95.com
<TXJune> or www.tucows.com
<Sweetcake> brb
<Counselor> Is homesite only Windows95?
<wolflady> or http://www.slaughterhouse.com
<who> howzit coming?
<Sweetcake> ohh..maybe it is..
