The Three Girls

Vox, Song & Trust
Vox, Song, & Trust are 3 argente golden girls that live in my 20 gallon long aquarium. Originally they were going to find new homes just like the rest of their siblings, but as time wore on it became apparent there wasn't too much interest in 3 little girls. Finally, when they were 8 mos old, I realized, even if someone was interested in them, I didn't really want to go shipping them away from me. For one thing, it might be a little hard on them to leave the only place they've known for 8 months of their life. Second of all, if they needed to be shipped, they might start fighting in transit, which was a scarely thought. So, here they are!

A girl exercising on the wheel
The three girls live in the 20L so they have lots of space to run around. They particularly like digging in cans, sleeping in a heap in the corner, and running on their wheel.

Vox, the Ringleader
Vox is the ringleader of the little band. She's slightly larger than the other two (altho she and Trust are almost the same size). She loves running on the wheel and eating sunflower seeds, but then, what gerbil doesn't? The three girls are all from Phoebe's 7th litter which was pretty much her last litter. That played a role in my decision to keep them, as I kept all of Missy's last litter.

Song, the Sweet One
Song is the little, sweet one. She is kind of shy and smaller than the other two but she is a real sweetie. She's definitely the submissive one of the bunch.

Trust, Second-in-Command
Trust is the second in command, stuck in the middle between Vox and Song. In general, I strongly discourage people from keeping females in groups larger than 2. Trios involving more than one female, whether the others are males or females, tend to be troublesome and fighting often breaks loose. However I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that these 3 are one of those lucky bunches, because it'd be rather bothersome to have to split them up!
The 3 girls are named after songs from Sarah McLachlan's CD Solace. You are listening to "Vox".
