Riven & Adia Kelly's 4th litter was born early in the morning (around 1am) on October 11th, 1998! When I came upstairs after watching The Outer Limits, I discovered a baby! Just minutes later there were 2. It was late and I couldn't stay up any longer so I went back to sleep. When I woke up I counted--3! Wait no, a little while later I realized I had miscounted, there are 4! Four beautiful little squirmy pink ones = )

Pacifica was the lone argente golden survivor of this litter. All his other littermates died under unusal circumstances = ( Pacifica is now living happily in Massachusetts at the home of Emily C. along with his black spot mate Calypso = ) Here is a picture of them.

11/8/98 Elantra died last night, making Pacifica the only survivor = ( I'm pretty sure that because their immune systems were so young they fell victim to whatever killed Banner, because they couldn't get to the meds. This has not been fun =6

11/7/98 ::sigh:: I found Sebastian dead yesterday = ( at first I thought maybe Adia killed him for some weird reason but now I'm thinking maybe they've got something . . . if you recall we lost Banner a week ago Friday and Pookie last Sunday, not to mention the black spot. There was nothing wrong with Sebastian on Thurs. but if it's what I think it is it strikes suddenly. Everybody is on meds but these guys probably aren't nursing so much (so don't get it through mom) but also aren't drinking from the bottle a whole lot, so they aren't getting meds . . . well in any case not much I can do now = ( Oh the reason why I'm sure they were sick and not that Adia hurt them, is because I took out the 2 remaining pups last night. They're already eating solids and drinking, and I figured weaning them early was preferable to them possibly being killed, and one of them is very sick today = ( this is a really rotten thing to happen . . . but the remaining pup looks ok and is in with Adair's 5 to keep him snuggly and I saw him drinking medicine out of the waterbottle so hopefully he'll be okay. I won't be taking any more daily pics but I'll probably get some of whatever survivors make it . . . = (

11/1/98 Unfortunately, the black spot passed away last night = ( I'm not sure why. If you still want one of Adia's kiddies, you'd best hurry, only Pacifica the argente boy is available.

10/27/98 One of the argente boys has one of his eyes open ;)

10/25/98 My my they're growing fast! Their eyes will be open before I know it! = ) Diagno (black spot) has someone interested in him, and so does Sebastian (agouti) but the 2 argentes are available = ) And if you're interested in any of the others, let me know too because you never know what might happen. 10/18/98 The colors are very clear now! They are ALL males. Pacifica & Elantra are argente males, Diagno is a black spot male, and Sebastian is an agouti male. Only Sebastian is definitely reserved but one of the others might be. Anyone want a pet pair/trio of boys?

10/12/98 You can already tell one is going to be spotted! Someone has already reserved half the litter, too, so long as there are at least 2 of opposite sexes = )
