Nevada Division of Investigation

The Nevada Division of Investigation has its main office in Carson City. There are many different field offices around the state, including Las Vegas, Ely, Winnemucca, Elko, Mesquite, Hawthorne, Fallon, and many others. Many of these offices have members who belong to drug task forces. There are different arms within the agency such as Major Crimes or Narcotics Enforcement.

Mostly, the investigators for NDI don't wear patches. In fact, they don't even wear uniforms. I have had the pleasure of working with several of these guys, and the only thing I have seen is a jacket with this patch on it. These are usually worn on entries and that sort of thing. I don't know if that is standard, or if they wear whatever they want.

These two patches were worn on raid jackets. These are similar, but not the same.

This is a rocker that is usually worn over the top of the main patch. I have seen this on flak vests used for entries.

This is a very special patch! It is the "Elko Combined Narcotics Unit" patch. This patch was a prototype. It was designed by Mark Salopek, who was an investigator with NDI. There were only 50 of these patches made, so when they are gone, they will be gone forever.

This is an older raid jacket patch. This one isn't in my collection so if you have one, feel free to send it this direction.
