North Las Vegas Police Department

North Las Vegas is adjacent to and north of the city of Las Vegas. Some of the downtown casinos are in "Northtown", as it is known in the Vegas area.

I dedicate this page to Raul Elizondo, who was killed in the line of duty in 1995. I went to the academy with Raul, and he is greatly missed.

I believe this to be the oldest NLVPD patch in my collection. I expect that I will eventually get some pertinent information about NLVPD patches. There have been a lot of visitors to my pages, but so far I haven't gotten the feedback I would like. Thank you to those who have.

This patch is similar to the one above. However, it appears to me to be a newer version. Don't ask me to explain how I determined this please.

To the left is a very old patch. To date, nobody I have spoken with can remember this patch being worn. To the far right is a brand new one to my collection. I haven't seen one this color before, so again I don't know the era or order.

These are two new aquisitions. There is no way to tell which order they came in.

These are the current patches worn by the officers. There was a misunderstanding about this patch, and the one next to it, which is explained below each patch.
This is the current style patch worn by patrol.
This patch was originally issued to the patrol officers, but the officer's wanted the word "Police" and not "Officer". Therefore, this patch was given to and is currently worn by Animal Control. This is the NLVPD Bailiff patch. I sure wish I had more information to impart with, but this is all the information that I have.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the current style badge patch. Please remember that I am always on the hunt for new and updated material. Help me acquire a patch not in my collection, and I will give you a credit on the page! These next two patches are from the North Las Vegas Corrections. Hopefully, that is a division of the North Las Vegas Police Department.
