These first three patches are in what I think is the proper order, beginning with the first to the third patches for this agency. Jeffery Smith from UNR gave me some of the info on these pages. Thanks Jeffery for the info about the UNR patches.

LEFT - This patch was probably a prototype that was never actually used. I heard that one chief was considering several different designs and this one was one of those not accepted.
RIGHT - This is the current UNR patch. This patch came into being in 1989. This patch was modeled after the RPD's patch. The difference between the two patches is that the star on UNR's patch is silver, (Reno's is gold), and UNR's says "Nevada 1874", whereas RPD's says "Reno, NV".
