Welcome, my friends!
My name is BooSiFer, and I'll be your guide during your stay. I want to assure you that you'll
be perfectly safe, as long as you stick with me. Don't stick with me, and...well, there's no telling what might happen. Not to worry, though - I promise
I won't stray - far... We'll have such fun here, you and I. So many creepy things to share...I'll only keep you as long as absolutely necessary. As
long as it takes, and no more ;-) Before we begin, I'd like to take you on a quick tour of my home. Please watch your step - it's as messy down here as it is up in mikki's place.
This is the kitchen area. I should warn you not to stray too closely to my cauldron...it's a little smelly. Wouldn't want you to faint on your very first visit here! What am I cooking,
you ask? Actually, it's an old family recipe - very "hush hush", you know. A little something we whip up to keep those creepy humans out of our hair, so to speak. No, don't taste it! Whew - that was a little too close. I don't want to
be accused of being a poor host...Safety first, and all that.
Ah, here we are at my "place of rest"...the Eternal Bed, you might call it. I do spend an awful lot of time here. Very peaceful and restive for the most part. I only like to come out once in a while,
usually very late at night. I don't know about you, but I find humans and all their lights and racket (I think they call it "music") very disturbing.
Well, that was a quick tour, wasn't it? I really don't need much besides a nice, hot "brew", and my cozy coffin...A ghost of simple pleasures, I am.
Perhaps it's time for some story-telling, hmmmm? Actually, I have a little poetry I'd like to share with you. Are you ready? Brace yourself...

All we need is a nice lantern to read by...
Ok, we're all set. Get comfy, now. Wait - don't sit there... That chair's a little...er...spikey, if you get my drift.
Let us begin
A little something light-hearted...
This is Halloween
Goblins on the doorstep, Phantoms in the air, Owls on witches' gateposts Giving stare for stare, Cats on flying broomsticks, Bats against the moon, Stirrings round of fate-cakes With a solemn spoon,Whirling apple parings,
Figures draped in sheets Dodging, disappearing, Up and down the streets, Jack-o'-lanterns grinning, Shadows on a screen, Shrieks and starts and laughter This is Halloween! - Dorothy Brown Thompson
That one was sweet... Now, for the less faint-of-heart, read on...if you dare!
The Griesly Wife
"Lie still, my newly married wife, Lie easy as you can. You're young and ill accustomed yet To sleeping with a man."
The snow lay thick, the moon was full And shone across the floor. The young wife went with never a word Barefooted to the door.
He up and followed sure and fast, The moon shone clear and white. But before his coat was on his back, His wife was out of sight. He trod the trail wherever it turned By many a mound and scree, And still the barefoot track led on,
And an angry man was he. He followed fast, he followed slow, And still he called her name, But only the dingoes of the hills Yowled back at him again. His hair stood up along his neck, His angry mind was gone, For the track that led from where it lay
Was never of human feet. His heart turned over in his chest, He looked from side to side, And he thought more of his gumwood fire Than he did of his griesly bride. And first he started walking back And then began to run, And his quarry wheeled at the end
of her track And hunted him in turn. Oh, long may the fire burn for him And open stand the door, And long the bed may wait empty He'll not be back anymore. - John Manifold
Ah, romance...so touching, yet...scary!
Well, that is all I have for you now. I grow weary, and I'm afraid the sun may rise to meet me before I am safely tucked away for the day. Please feel free to drop by again soon... Best call first, though. Wouldn't want any unpleasant surprises, would we?
Oh, look! It's my cousin, Robert Ghoul-ay. You can call him Bob. He's a very cheerful fellow. Tickle his belly, and you'll see what I mean...

Bob will show you the way out.
Good-bye from all of us hidden away in mikki's dungeon!
