He died 1850 in Ritchie Co., WV. Preston Zinn and Thomas Pritchard were the first settlers at Berea, Ritchie Co ., WV. Preston was killed by a plow striking him in the side. Nancy was still living with her children in Ritchie Co. on the 1860 census. She later took the seven living children and moved to Farinia, Illinois
